Time to Adjust

Cant help but feel like a fish out of water ... It felt so surreal walking into the building and finally stepping into the office !


awwwww ..... I miss my laptop ... miss having an individual room ... miss having space around me ...


Good thing is I have lots of sunshine @ the place where Im seated, which I like ... the only saving grace ...

This is the fifth day @ work and I've yet to repeat lunch with the same bunch of people. My work buddy is a super wacko but he is seated so far across from me, it's hard to chat. But I do miss the closeness and comfort of eating with the same close bunch like what I used to do in my previous workplace. Anyway, lunch's just an hour ... *shrug* people come people go ...

As much as I would like to take things easy, I think Im expected to pick up at supersonic speed & perform. Should be swarmed with work & technical details come next week and I will be doing my first presentation for a case to the Director next Monday. Sounds daunting but I should be fine cos it's a straightforward case & the fact that he's a nice person. Very down-to-earth and approachable. I think I'm really lucky to have met good bosses in the course of my careers with the exception for one (blessing that the stint didnt last long). Current supervisor is very technically sound and bothers to coach me even though she is so busy herself. I should be contented but deep inside, I still wonder if I've made the right choice. Nonetheless, I would think this job is challenging especially for the portfolio that I'm handling. For every case solved, a goal scored. = )

I pray that I'll quickly assimilate into the work environment and pick up nitty-gritty of the work very soon. I cant afford to be slack.
