Golden Date - 9 Sept

9 Sept is coming soon and Im getting alittle nervous ... *gulp* But I shouldn't be cos I know I will be prepared for it. Was wondering if Kab had been working on it...

These days I've been giving myself lots of pats on my back as I've managed to achieve more than what I've set out to do. From 4 - 5 km per run, I've managed to push to 6km ! What a feat considering I've just started my jogging routine 3 months ago. Im so proud of myself !! Life is much more upbeat eversince I've decided on a change of lifestyle. The kind of satisfaction derived from a good jog was more satisfying than having a good meal !

Talking about food, just organised another dinner gathering last evening for the Nun-Gang with bf and husband in tow. Had a cheap and sumptuous fish steamboat dinner at Tian Wai Tian and imagine $70 only for fish steamboat, rice and 4 other side dishes. Where to find such reasonable price these days ?? Parking along Opal Cresent is always a problem but the value-for-money dishes are worth the hassle ! The only disappointing bit was the prawn roll which I never fail to order every time. Lurveeeee dipping it in sweet sauce before popping it into the mouth pipping hot. The crunch and the taste of minced prawn and chestnut is just heavenly !!!! Sigh, they are not served fresh from the wok this time ... Hmm ... just my luck ... = (

Thinking of ending the day with a high note, we went in 2 separate cars to catch the fireworks display at Marina Bay. Maybe Im expecting too much, but the display this time is short of being spectacular. The "wow" factor was lacking and after 5 mins into the display I was already planning how to make my exit. Not to be outdone by the fanfare at Marina, the place where I stay also experienced a glimpse of fireworks.

Feeling apologetic to the "Earth God" whom I promised to burn some money/passport during the start of Lunar 7th Month, I took the stack of incense paper meant for him and tried my darnest to light them up before dunking them into the bin provided by Town Council. No matter how hard I tried I just couldnt keep the fire going stronger. In the midst of juggling between holding the notes, lighting them up and dunking them into the burning bin, I actually dropped the lighter into the lited bin ! Holy cow ! There I was cursing myself for the slip and suddenly occured to me to stand-back. Sure enough after a few seconds, BOOM it went and the lighter exploded into flames, which shot up 2 metres up from the bin and disappeared in a mere 2 seconds. What a sight ! haha.. This is even more spontanous than watching fireworks !! The commotion was loud enough for the 2nd and 3rd storey neighbours to peer out of their windows. Hope they didnt catch the sheepish look on my face. heh..heh ... pretend not my fault lor ...

Was told Guru LianHuo would stop by Singapore next Monday & Tuesday. Yeah ! It has been how long .... 5 months since he left Singapore ? Good to have him back again ... but this time, I would not be able to assist him in free consultation to disciples like I did in the past. First 3 months probation in workplace not up yet = ( It's ok, I guess. At least I get to attend his fire puja ceremony after work at night ...

Golly, it's already 3.49am !!!! Ok, time to take my beauty rest...
